All Scripture is Given By Inspiration of God

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." (1)

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice." (2)

How has God protected and led His children in the Past? "In your manifold mercies, You did not forsake [your children] in the wilderness, the pillar of the cloud did not depart from them by day to lead them on the road; nor the pillar of fire by night, to show them light and the way they should go. You also gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, and did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst. Forty years You sustained them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing, their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell." (3)

God leads us by His instruction to us in the Bible and He is present with us by His Holy Spirit. The Bible is the story of how God dwells with His people and interacts with them. He is not distant from them for He dwells with them and is in them. "If you love me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you a Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of truth." (4)

When we are in need, He is just a prayer away. If we grieve the Holy Spirit away, we suffer the consequences of being separated from our Creator. If we put our faith and trust in Him and rely on Him, we have the assurance that we are safe in His everlasting arms. And "Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world." (5) "There is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding." (6)

In Christ's last recorded prayer to His Father just before His trail and crucifixion, He prayed "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me." (7)

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and His "Word" has been shared with us so that we may come into the same relationship with our Creator as the writers of the Bible had with Him. We learn about that relationship and experience it as we walk daily with Jesus through the pages of scripture and in our daily lives.

May His Presence and His blessings be with you today and every day.
