The
Life Of The World
"I
am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone
eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that
I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life
of the world." (1)
Jesus
is "the life of the world." We are three times His:
1. He
created us: "All things were made through Him, and without
Him nothing was made that was made." (2).
2. He
Redeemed us: "For He (God) made Him (Jesus) who knew
no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness
of God in Him." (3) By His Spirit, He renews us and gives
us new life in Him.
3. In
the Resurrection He recreates us: "He who believes in
Me has everlasting life." (4) "For the Lord Himself
will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an
archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ
will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be
caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord
in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
(5) "For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall
stand at last on the earth; and after my skin is destroyed,
this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God." (6)
Jesus
truly is "the life of the world!"
