Do
You Know The Owner?
"This
is life eternal, that they may know You, the only true God,
and Jesus Christ whom You have sent" (1)
To know
the Owner is to have eternal life-- if you truly know Him.
Some people claim to know Him, but He does not recognize them.
"Not everyone who says to Me 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter
the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father
in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have
we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name,
and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare
to them 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice
lawlessness!" (2) The distinction is between those who
do "the will of My Father" and those who "practice
lawlessness".
The Owner
wants us to know Him. Jesus said, "I am ascending to
My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God."
(3) "God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself."
(4) "If you then-- know how to give good gifts to your
children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven
give good things to those who ask Him!" (5) He is ready,
willing and waiting for us to get acquainted with Him and
ask Him for the things that we truly need. He sends His Spirit
to live in us and be with us, "If you love Me, keep My
commandments, and I will pray the Father, and He will give
you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- the
Spirit of truth... He who has My commandments and keeps them,
it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by
My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him...
If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will
love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."

The Great
God, Creator and Owner of the Universe wants us to know Him.
He is willing to share Himself with us intimately by His Spirit.
He wants to dwell with us and be in us. We can not comprehend
that relationship, but it is real, if we let Him. He will
not force Himself on any person who does not want that relationship.
However, for those who choose to accept Him for Who He is,
He has wonderful plans. Jesus gives us a hint of the plans
of God when He told John, "To him who overcomes I will
grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and
sat down with My Father on His throne." (7) We somehow
will be involved with God and Christ in the administration
of His universe. "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor
have entered into the heart of man the things which God has
prepared for those who love Him." (8)
