Today's Meditation

Commit To The Lord All That You Do

"Commit to the Lord all that you do, and your plans will be fulfilled." (1)

When people recognize their need and turn to the Lord for guidance and help in every act and decision, then the powers of heaven come to their aid and enable them to carry out the decisions reached under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Their choices, in harmony with the leading of God's Holy Spirit will be fulfilled.

Jesus was confronted one day by a man who brought his son with a "mute spirit" to be healed. The disciples where unable to help the man's son. "Jesus said to him, 'If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.' Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!' " (2) The son was healed by the command of Jesus and the faith of the father.

On another occasion Jesus was telling His disciples how hard it is for a rich man to "enter the kingdom of heaven." The disciples were greatly disturbed and said, "Who then can be saved?" Jesus said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (3)

Here is the secret for successful living; Believing in God and God's power to fulfill our desires and requests when in harmony with His principles. If you can believe in God, that He cares for you and loves you, and you choose to live in harmony with all that's best for you according to the laws of nature that have been put in place for you by God for your benefit and blessing, then you are on your way to living successfully here and now and forever.

Consider these prayer promises: Jesus said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also.. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." (4) John, the disciple wrote the following, "Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him." (5)

If we ask for anything that we know is His will, we know that He hears us and whatever it is that we ask that is according to His will, it will be fulfilled. May your prayers always be heard and fulfilled by the One who loves you supremely.
