Behold The Love Of The Father

"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God." (1)

Satan is determined that men should not see the love of God, which led Him to give His only-begotten Son to save the lost race; for it is the goodness of God that leads men to repentance. How may we succeed in setting before the world the wonderful, precious love of God? In no other way can we compass it than by exclaiming, "Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God." May we as sinners hear and know, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" (2) (3)

"Our condition through sin is unnatural, and the power that restores us must be supernatural, else it has no value. There is but one power that can break the hold of evil from the hearts of men, and that is the power of God in Jesus Christ. Only through the blood of the Crucified One is there cleansing from sin. His grace alone can enable us to resist and subdue the tendencies of our fallen nature." (4)

"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. For God so loved the world that --- whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (5)

God's gifts to us are new and fresh every day. Each new gift increases the capacity of the receiver to appreciate and enjoy the blessings of the Lord. If you abide in Him, there can be no failure of supply. So abundant is the provision of His grace to blot out our failures and sins, and to renew and sustain our minds and hearts. "Where sin abounded, grace abounded much more." (6)

Praise be to God, for His love and mercy is forever. To all who receive Him, to them He gives the right to become His children, His family, to those who believe in Him, (7)
