Creation,
The Power of God
"In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. ... All things were made through Him, and
without Him nothing was made that was made. ... And the Word
was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace
and truth." (1)
"For
by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that
are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions
or principalities or powers. All things were created through
Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all
things consist." (2)
"I
have made the earth, and created man on it. I, My hands, stretched
out the heavens, and all their host I have commanded... For
thus says the Lord, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who
formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who
did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited?
I am the Lord, and there is no other." (3)
"For
since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are
clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made,
even His eternal power and Godhead." (4)
