Stories and Parables of JESUS

This section is dedicated to lessons that Jesus taught through the use of parables and stories. "In all this teaching to the crowds Jesus spoke in parables; . This was to fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah: 'I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things kept secret since the world was made' " (Matthew 13:34, 35, NEB).

"Natural things were the medium for the spiritual; the things of nature and the life-experience of His hearers were connected with the truths of the written word. Leading thus from the natural to the spiritual kingdom, Christ's parables are links in the chain of truth that unites man with God, and earth with heaven" (Christ's Object Lessons, pp. 17, 18).

All of Christ's teaching in a very unique and wonderful way is a fulfillment of the prophecies of Isaiah, "All your children shall be taught by the Lord" (Isaiah 54:13, NKJV). "He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths" (Isaiah 2:3, NKJV).
