HE
CARES FOR YOU
"Therefore
humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may
exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for
He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:6, 7, NKJV).
The message
all through the Bible is that God loves us. He cares, protects
and teaches us the way to a more abundant life here and to
eternal life hereafter. He gives us warnings to protect us
from the evil of the world. "For evildoers shall be cut
off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the
earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more.
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, but it shall
be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall
delight themselves in the abundance of peace" (Psalm
37:9-11).
In the
meantime, God bids us to look to Him for wisdom, understanding,
truth, justice, mercy and to cast all our care upon Him, for
He loves us with and everlasting love and assures us of His
lovingcare for us.
When
you consider that He created us, He came to live with us to
demonstrate to us and teach us the way of life and to reveal
the character and love of the Father to us, and to adopt us
into His family as His very own children and "heirs-heirs
of God and joint heirs with Christ" (Romans 8:17), then
you must realize that there is something most wonderful in-store
for us.
Happy
is the one whose hope is in the Lord, Who made heaven and
earth, the sea and all that is in them. Who gives food to
the hungry and freedom to the prisoners. Who executes justice
to the oppressed and opens the eyes of the blind. Who raises
those who are bowed down, and watches over the strangers.
Who relieves the fatherless and widow. Who loves the righteous
and turns the way of the wicked upside down (based on Psalm
146:5-9).
Jesus
prayed for you, "I do not pray
for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me
through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father,
are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us,
that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory
which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one
just as We are one; I in them, and You in Me; that they may
be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You
have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me"
(John 17:20-23). And His promise to us is, "And
lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age"
(Matthew 28:20).
