TAKE HOLD OF MY STRENGTH! Part II

"Let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; And he shall make peace with Me" (Isaiah 27:5, NKJV).

"God does not control our minds without our consent; but if we desire to know and to do His will, His promises are ours: 'You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.' 'If anyone willeth to do His will, he shall know of the teaching' (John 8:32; 7:17, R.V.). Through faith in these promises, every man may be delivered from the snares of error and the control of sin.

"Every man is free to choose what power he will have rule over him. None have fallen so low, none are so vile, but that they can find deliverance in Christ. The demoniac, in place of prayer, could utter only the words of Satan; yet the heart's unspoken appeal was heard. No cry from a soul in need, though it fail of utterance in words, will be unheeded. Those who will consent to enter into covenant relation with the God of heaven are not left to the power of Satan or to the infirmity of their own nature. They are invited by the Saviour, 'Let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; and he shall make peace with Me' (Isaiah 27:5). The Spirits of darkness will battle for the soul once under their dominion, but angels of God will contend for that soul with prevailing power."-- The Desire of Ages, pp. 258, 259.

Every man and woman is free to choose the values that they live by. Those who have an open mind to consider the evidence that God has shared with mankind through all time and all Scripture may come to realize that God is not dead. He is there for them and always has been.

The human race has been mislead and blinded by the sophistries of Satan. However, God has revealed Himself in all of Scripture, in the life of Jesus and by His providential leading in our lives even when we are not aware. All Scripture has been given by the inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16). In the life of Jesus we behold the nature and character of God (2 Corinthians 5:19). "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye" (Psalm 32:8).

Would you like to have strength and peace in your life that surpasses all understanding? Then take hold of the strength of God and make peace with Him. For He "will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in - the Lord, is everlasting strength" (Isaiah 26:3, 4).
