YOUR
THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER
"Your
throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness
is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and
hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
with the oil of gladness more than Your companions" (Psalm
45:6, 7, NKJV).
There
will be no end to the Messiah's dominion. "And there
were loud voices in heaven, saying, 'The kingdoms of this
world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ,
and He shall reign forever and ever!' " (Revelation 11:15).
"Don't be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with
God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring
forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great,
and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God
will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will
reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom
there will be no end" (Luke 1:30-33). "The Lord
shall reign forever-- Your God, O Zion, to all generations"
(Psalm 146:10).
God,
the Father, has anointed Christ, the Messiah, the Son of David,
and the Son of God, to reign "forever and ever."
"And of His kingdom there will be no end." "For
the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with
the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And
the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive
and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds
to meet the Lord in the air." "Now when He had spoken
these things, while they watched. He was taken up, and a cloud
received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly
toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them
in white apparel, who also said, 'Men of Galilee, why do you
stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken
up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you
saw Him go into heaven" (Revelation 11:15; Luke 1:33;
1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17; Acts 1:9-11).
"Let
not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also
in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were
not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for
you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come
again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you
may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know...
I am the way... The words that I speak to you I do not speak
on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does
the works"
(John 14:1-4, 6, 10).
