SONS
OF GOD THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS
"For
you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus"
(Galatians 3:26, NKJV).
God and
Jesus Christ have no favorites. All men and women are equal
in the site of God. "He has made from one blood every
nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth."
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave
nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all
one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are
Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
"The rich and the poor have this in common, the Lord
is the maker of them all." "Whoever believes on
Him will not be put to shame. For there is no distinction
between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich
to all who call upon Him. For 'whoever calls on the name of
the Lord shall be saved.' " (Acts 17:26, 27; Galatians
3:28, 29; Proverbs 22:2; Romans 10:11-13).
Jesus
did not restrict His benefits and blessings to one race or
nation. He was sent to a woman of Canaan living in the region
of Tyre and Sidon. He healed her daughter and commended the
woman, "O woman, great is your
faith! Let it be to you as you desire." (Matthew
15:21, 22, 28).
A centurion,
Roman officer, came to Jesus pleading with Him, "Lord,
my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented."
Jesus said, "I will come and heal
him." The centurion answered and said, "Lord,
I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only
speak a word, and my servant will be healed." Jesus said
of this Roman officer, "Assuredly,
I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even
in Israel!" Jesus said to the centurion, "Go
your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for
you." (Matthew 8:5-13).
Jesus
held a conversation with an adulterous Samaritan woman. During
the conversation the woman said to Him, "I know that
Messiah is coming. When He comes, He will tell us all things."
Jesus said to her, "I who speak
to you am He." The woman left her waterpot and
went into the city and said to the men of that city, "Come,
see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this
be the Christ?" The Samaritans came to listen to Jesus
and they testified, "Now we believe, not because of what
you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that
this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world."
Jesus stayed with the Samaritans two days. (John 4:5-43).
"As
many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become
children of God, to those who believe in His name" (John
1:12).
